North Carolina High School Basketball - Westminster Catawba Christian can't hold off Gaston Christian

The Gaston Christian Eagles basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Westminster Catawba Christian Indians to 68 in the Eagles league triumph on Friday.

The Eagles now sport a 18-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Concord Academy for a NCISAA Metrolina contest on Tuesday, January 31. Gaston Christian will battle a Eagles team coming off a 62-42 league win over Metrolina Christian Academy (Indian Trail, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 26-5.

The Indians (14-13) will now prepare for their contest against SouthLake Christian Academy (Huntersville, NC). The enter the NCISAA Metrolina contest with a 8-20 record. In their last contest, SouthLake Christian Academy was nudged by Gaston Day (Gastonia, NC), 60-54, in a league contest.
