Louisiana High School Basketball - Leesville holds off Washington-Marion
January 27, 2023: Leesville, LA 71446 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Leesville Wampus Cats (Leesville, LA) and the visiting Washington-Marion Charging Indians (Lake Charles, LA), saw Leesville's basketball squad hold off Washington-Marion by a tally of 1-0.
With the victory, Leesville improves its record to 2-12 on the campaign. The Wampus Cats travel to DeRidder (DeRidder, LA) to confront the Dragons in a 4A District 3 challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Dragons come into the challenge with a record of 3-9. DeRidder lost 72-71 in their recent league challenge against LaGrange (Lake Charles, LA)
Next up, the Charging Indians confront the Eunice Bobcats (Eunice, LA) in a 4A District 3 challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Washington-Marion will attempt to improve on its 6-10 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 7-3 record after their 2-0 league win over LaGrange (Lake Charles, LA).
