The Mentor Cardinals (Mentor, OH) basketball crushed the host Solon Comets (Solon, OH), 66-5 in Friday's league test.

The Cardinals (12-3) will now prepare for their test against Lutheran West (Rocky River, OH). The Longhorns go into the non-league test with a 14-1 record. In their last test, Lutheran West walloped Grand Valley (Orwell, OH), 82-41, in a non-league test.

The Comets now own a 8-8 record. They play next when they travel to Stow-Munroe Falls for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 31. Solon will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 77-73 league win over North Royalton (North Royalton, OH). The Bulldogs record now stands at 14-2.
