January 27, 2023: Renville, ND 58761 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood Mavericks (Renville, ND) and the visiting Surrey Mustangs (Surrey, ND), saw Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood's basketball squad hold off Surrey by a tally of 50-49.
With the victory, Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood improves its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Mavericks travel to Des Lacs-Burlington (Des Lacs, ND) to play the Lakers in a B Region 6 District 12 challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Lakers come into the challenge with a record of 9-4. Des Lacs-Burlington won 56-44 in their recent league challenge against Our Redeemer's Christian (Minot, ND)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Berthold Bombers (Berthold, ND) in a B Region 6 District 12 challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Surrey will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Bombers come into the challenge with a 0-9 record after their 77-40 league loss to Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood (Renville, ND).
