The Van Alstyne Panthers (Van Alstyne, TX) basketball knocked off the host Panther Creek Panthers (Frisco, TX), 70-57 in Friday's league test.

The Panthers (14-14) will now prepare for their test against Aubrey (Aubrey, TX). The Chaparrals go into the 4A Region II District 11 test with a 23-4 record. In their last test, Aubrey notched a victory over Anna (Anna, TX), 60-55, in a league test.

The Panthers now own a 7-21 record. They play next when they travel to Ranchview for a 4A Region II District 11 test on Tuesday, January 31. Panther Creek will encounter a Wolves squad coming off a 48-45 league loss to Celina (Celina, TX). The Wolves record now stands at 6-18.
