Colorado High School Basketball - Platte Valley overwhelms Wellington
January 27, 2023: Kersey, CO 80644 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Platte Valley Broncos (Kersey, CO) and the visiting Wellington Eagles (Wellington, CO), saw Platte Valley's basketball squad wallop Wellington by a tally of 93-11.
With the victory, Platte Valley improves its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Broncos host Berthoud (Berthoud, CO) to confront the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 30. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 1-13. Berthoud lost 73-64 in their recent non-league challenge against Wray (Wray, CO)
Next up, the Eagles confront the Frontier Academy Wolverines (Greeley, CO) in a 3A Patriot challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Wellington will attempt to improve on its 0-13 season record. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a 5-9 record after their 101-55 league loss to Highland (Ault, CO).
