The Southern Wells Raiders basketball team (Poneto, IN), was nudged 45-41 in Friday's league battle with the visiting South Adams Starfires (Berne, IN)

The Starfires now possess a 2-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fort Wayne Canterbury for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 28. South Adams will confront a Cavaliers team coming off a 59-57 non-league loss to Fort Wayne Northrop (Fort Wayne, IN). The Cavaliers record now stands at 3-11.

The Raiders (3-10) will now prepare for their battle against Lakeland Christian Academy (Winona Lake, IN). The Cougars come into the non-league battle with a 12-2 record. In their last battle, Lakeland Christian Academy edged Argos (Argos, IN), 43-34, in a league battle.
