Stratford Spartans (Houston, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Spring Woods Tigers (Houston, TX), 77-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Stratford upgrades its record to 17-10 on the season. The Spartans host Cypress Ridge (Houston, TX) to play the Rams in a 6A Region III District 17 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 5-23. Cypress Ridge lost 62-35 in their recent league bout against Memorial (Houston, TX)

Next up, the Tigers play the Cy-Fair Bobcats (Cypress, TX) in a 6A Region III District 17 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Spring Woods will attempt to upgrade on its 16-11 season record. The Bobcats go into the bout with a 12-14 record after their 70-26 league win over Northbrook (Houston, TX).
