Pennsylvania High School Basketball - William Tennent nips Upper Moreland
January 27, 2023: Willow Grove, PA 19090 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the William Tennent Panthers (Warminster, PA) and the host Upper Moreland Bears (Willow Grove, PA), saw William Tennent's basketball squad hold off Upper Moreland by a tally of 72-69.
With the victory, William Tennent improves its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to New Foundations (Philadelphia, PA) to play the in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 28. The come into the challenge with a record of 2-8. New Foundations lost 60-58 in their recent league challenge against The City School (Philadelphia, PA)
Next up, the Bears play the Springfield Township Spartans (Erdenheim, PA) in a Suburban One - American challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Upper Moreland will attempt to improve on its 11-7 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 7-12 record after their 49-39 non-league win over Interboro (Prospect Park, PA).
