New York High School Basketball - Schalmont overwhelms Academy of the Holy Names
January 27, 2023: Schenectady, NY 12306 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Schalmont Sabres (Schenectady, NY) and the visiting Academy of the Holy Names (Albany, NY), saw Schalmont's basketball squad wallop Academy of the Holy Names by a tally of 54-26.
With the victory, Schalmont improves its record to 8-6 on the campaign. The Sabres travel to Albany Academy for Girls (Albany, NY) to play the Bears in a Section 2 Colonial challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 16-0. Albany Academy for Girls won 54-24 in their recent league challenge against Cobleskill-Richmondville (Cobleskill, NY)
Next up, the play the Cohoes Tigers (Cohoes, NY) in a Section 2 Colonial challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Academy of the Holy Names will attempt to improve on its 12-5 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 2-11 record after their 50-27 league loss to Catholic Central (Troy, NY).
