Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Ashland Hornets (Ashland, ME) and the visiting Van Buren Crusaders (Van Buren, ME), saw Ashland's basketball squad knock off Van Buren by a count of 37-19.

With the victory, Ashland upgrades its record to 5-8 on the campaign. The Hornets host Washburn (Washburn, ME) to play the Beavers in a D North challenge on Monday, January 30.
