The La Jolla Country Day Torreys basketball team scored 72 points and restricted the visiting Maranatha Christian Eagles to 20 in the Torreys league victory on Friday.

The Torreys now sport a 21-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Etiwanda for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 28. La Jolla Country Day will battle a Eagles team coming off a 68-12 league win over Upland (Upland, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 24-1.

The Eagles (9-15) will now prepare for their contest against Bishop's (La Jolla, CA). The Knights come into the Coastal contest with a 2-20 record. In their last contest, Bishop's was routed by Francis Parker (San Diego, CA), 65-15, in a league contest.
