Minnesota High School Basketball - Luverne overwhelms Redwood Valley
January 27, 2023: Redwood Falls, MN 56283 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Luverne Cardinals (Luverne, MN) and the host Redwood Valley Cardinals (Redwood Falls, MN), saw Luverne's basketball squad wallop Redwood Valley by a count of 56-21.
With the victory, Luverne upgrades its record to 12-1 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Vermillion (Vermillion, SD) to play the Tanagers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 28. The Tanagers come into the challenge with a record of 13-0. Vermillion won 51-22 in their recent non-league challenge against Dell Rapids (Dell Rapids, SD)
Next up, the Cardinals play the Paynesville Bulldogs (Paynesville, MN) in a AA Section 3 challenge, on Monday, January 30. Redwood Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 9-8 record after their 48-34 league win over Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City (Grove City, MN).
