Texas High School Basketball - Tidehaven overwhelms Rice Consolidated
January 27, 2023: Altair, TX 77412 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Tidehaven Tigers (El Maton, TX) and the host Rice Consolidated Raiders (Altair, TX), saw Tidehaven's basketball squad wallop Rice Consolidated by a tally of 59-23.
With the victory, Tidehaven improves its record to 22-9 on the campaign. The Tigers host Yoakum (Yoakum, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 3A Region IV District 25 challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 17-9. Yoakum won 38-36 in their recent league challenge against Hallettsville (Hallettsville, TX)
Next up, the Raiders play the Palacios Sharks (Palacios, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 25 challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Rice Consolidated will attempt to improve on its 0-22 season record. The Sharks come into the challenge with a 10-21 record after their 64-24 league loss to Edna (Edna, TX).
