Magna Vista Warriors (Ridgeway, VA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Patrick County Cougars (Stuart, VA), 28-27 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Magna Vista upgrades its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Martinsville (Martinsville, VA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Friday, February 3. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Cougars play the Radford Bobcats (Radford, VA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 30. Patrick County will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record.
