The Erwin Warriors basketball team scored 58 points and held the host Smoky Mountain Mustangs to 56 in the Warriors non-league triumph on Friday.

The Warriors now sport a 11-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Buncombe for a non-league contest on Monday, January 30.

The Mustangs (1-16) will now prepare for their contest against Franklin (Franklin, NC). The Panthers enter the contest with a 15-2 record. In their last contest, Franklin nudged North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC), 56-47, in a league contest.
