Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders (Chula Vista, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Montgomery Aztecs (San Diego, CA), 51-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Mater Dei Catholic upgrades its record to 7-10 on the season. The Crusaders travel to Bonita Vista (Chula Vista, CA) to play the Barons in a bout on Monday, January 30. The Barons go into the bout with a record of 5-7. Bonita Vista lost 66-56 in their recent league bout against Eastlake (Chula Vista, CA)
