Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Taft Wildcats (Taft, CA) and the host Shafter Generals (Shafter, CA), saw Taft's basketball squad hold off Shafter by a tally of 46-42.

With the victory, Taft improves its record to 13-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to McFarland (McFarland, CA) to confront the Cougars in a challenge on Wednesday, February 1. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 9-10.
