Andrews Mustangs (Andrews, TX) fans were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Pecos Eagles (Pecos, TX), 1-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs confront the Estacado Matadors (Lubbock, TX) in a 4A Region 1 District 2 challenge, on Friday, February 3. Andrews will attempt to better on its 4-4 season record.

The Eagles now have a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Estacado for a 4A Region 1 District 2 challenge on Tuesday, January 31. Pecos will confront a Matadors team coming off a 3-2 league win over Sweetwater (Sweetwater, TX). The Matadors record now stands at 2-5.
