In Saturday's non-league outing, the Central Rockets (Burlington, IL) basketball squad nipped the visiting Freeport Pretzels (Freeport, IL), by a margin of 47-46.

The Rockets (16-8) will now prepare for their outing against McHenry (McHenry, IL). The Warriors go into the Fox Valley outing with a 18-6 record. In their last outing, McHenry got by Dixon (Dixon, IL), 63-61, in a non-league outing.

The Pretzels now own a 12-11 record. They play next when they travel to Guilford for a Northern Illinois 10 outing on Wednesday, January 31. Freeport will clash with a Vikings squad coming off a 70-51 league win over Belvidere (Belvidere, IL). The Vikings record now stands at 19-4.
