The Freeport Pretzels topped the host Sycamore Spartans basketball team by a final score of 66-52 in Friday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Pretzels face the Boylan Catholic Titans (Rockford, IL) in a Northern Illinois 10 game, on Wednesday, January 3. Freeport will attempt to move on its 8-6 season record. The Titans enter the game with a 7-6 record after their 42-40 non-league win over Plainfield South (Plainfield, IL).

With the defeat, Sycamore moves to 8-8 on the year. The Spartans travel to Kaneland (Maple Park, IL) to face the Knights in a Interstate Eight game on Friday, January 5.
