California High School Basketball - Coronado holds off Foothills Christian
January 27, 2024: Coronado, CA 92118 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Coronado Islanders (Coronado, CA) and the visiting Foothills Christian Knights (El Cajon, CA), saw Coronado's basketball squad hold off Foothills Christian by a tally of 71-66.
With the victory, Coronado improves its record to 6-18 on the campaign. The Islanders travel to Lincoln (San Diego, CA) to confront the Hornets in a Eastern challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 7-17. Lincoln lost 80-54 in their recent non-league challenge against Mission Bay (San Diego, CA)
Next up, the Knights confront the Santa Fe Christian Eagles (Solana Beach, CA) in a Coastal challenge, on Wednesday, January 31. Foothills Christian will attempt to improve on its 4-16 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 16-7 record after their 45-39 league loss to La Jolla Country Day (La Jolla, CA).
