South Dakota High School Basketball - Douglas knocked off by Yankton
January 27, 2024: Box Elder, SD 57719 The Yankton Bucks/Gazelles basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Douglas Patriots to 39 in the Bucks/Gazelles league triumph on Saturday.
The Bucks/Gazelles now sport a 2-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host O'Gorman for a AA contest on Monday, January 29. Yankton will battle a Knights team coming off a 57-46 league win over Riggs (Pierre, SD). The Knights record now stands at 7-5.
The Patriots (3-9) will now prepare for their contest against Custer (Custer, SD). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 9-4 record. In their last contest, Custer was defeated by Rapid City Christian (Rapid City, SD), 57-55, in a league contest.
