South Dakota High School Basketball - Riggs crushes Douglas
January 16, 2024: Pierre, SD 57501 Riggs Governors (Pierre, SD) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Douglas Patriots (Box Elder, SD), 64-37 in a league bout.
With the win, Riggs upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Governors host Brandon Valley (Brandon, SD) to clash with the Lynx in a AA bout on Thursday, January 18. The Lynx go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Brandon Valley won 70-48 in their recent league bout against Brookings (Brookings, SD)
Next up, the Patriots clash with the Spearfish Spartans (Spearfish, SD) in a AA bout, on Thursday, January 18. Douglas will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 54-51 non-league loss to Hill City (Hill City, SD).
