Floyd Central Highlanders (Floyds Knobs, IN) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Evansville Reitz Panthers (Evansville, IN), 58-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Floyd Central upgrades its record to 6-9 on the season. The Highlanders travel to Bedford North Lawrence (Bedford, IN) to play the Stars in a Hoosier Hills bout on Thursday, February 1. The Stars go into the bout with a record of 10-5. Bedford North Lawrence lost 54-39 in their recent non-league bout against Terre Haute North Vigo (Terre Haute, IN)

Next up, the Panthers play the Evansville Memorial Tigers (Evansville, IN) in a Southern Indiana bout, on Thursday, February 1. Evansville Reitz will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 10-5 record after their 62-46 non-league win over Boonville (Boonville, IN).
