Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Woodrow Wilson Flying Eagles (Beckley, WV) and the visiting Huntington Highlanders (Huntington, WV), saw Woodrow Wilson's basketball squad hold off Huntington by a tally of 56-54.

With the victory, Woodrow Wilson improves its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Flying Eagles host Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV) to confront the Spartans in a Freelance challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 4-10. Greenbrier East lost 61-45 in their recent non-league challenge against South Charleston (South Charleston, WV)

Next up, the Highlanders confront the Riverside Warriors (Belle, WV) in a Mountain State challenge, on Wednesday, January 31. Huntington will attempt to improve on its 7-5 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 3-12 record after their 75-68 league loss to Capital (Charleston, WV).
