Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the South Charleston Black Eagles (South Charleston, WV) and the visiting Woodrow Wilson Flying Eagles (Beckley, WV), saw South Charleston's basketball squad hold off Woodrow Wilson by a tally of 59-57.

With the victory, South Charleston improves its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Black Eagles host George Washington (Charleston, WV) to confront the Patriots in a Mountain State challenge on Wednesday, January 3. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 1-3.
