Maine High School Basketball - Schenck holds off Machias
January 27, 2024: Machias, ME 04654 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Schenck Wolverines (East Millinocket, ME) and the host Machias Bulldogs (Machias, ME), saw Schenck's basketball squad hold off Machias by a tally of 61-56.
With the victory, Schenck improves its record to 14-0 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Lee Academy (Lee, ME) to confront the Pandas in a D North challenge on Monday, January 29. The Pandas come into the challenge with a record of 4-10.
Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Deer Isle-Stonington Mariners (Deer Isle, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 29. Machias will attempt to improve on its 13-2 season record. The Mariners come into the challenge with a 1-14 record after their 51-31 non-league loss to Greenville (Greenville, ME).
