The Marion County Eagles basketball team (Buena Vista, GA), was overwhelmed 69-40 in Saturday's league battle with the visiting Macon County Bulldogs (Montezuma, GA)

The Bulldogs now possess a 18-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Manchester for a A D2 Region 6 battle on Monday, January 29. Macon County will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 74-45 league win over Greenville (Greenville, GA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 14-5.

The Eagles (9-11) will now prepare for their battle against Chattahoochee County (Cusseta, GA). The Panthers come into the A D2 Region 6 battle with a 11-9 record. In their last battle, Chattahoochee County trounced Webster County (Preston, GA), 78-34, in a league battle.
