January 27, 2024: Rutherford, NJ 07070 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Rutherford Bulldogs (Rutherford, NJ) and the visiting Mahwah Thunderbirds (Mahwah, NJ), saw Rutherford's basketball squad hold off Mahwah by a tally of 49-46.
With the victory, Rutherford improves its record to 15-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Lyndhurst (Lyndhurst, NJ) to confront the Golden Bears in a Northwest Jersey - National challenge on Monday, January 29. The Golden Bears come into the challenge with a record of 14-5. Lyndhurst lost 62-61 in their recent non-league challenge against Pascack Hills (Montvale, NJ)
Next up, the Thunderbirds confront the Tech Panthers (Newark, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 27. Mahwah will attempt to improve on its 10-10 season record.
