New Jersey High School Basketball - Clifton overwhelmed by Lakeland Regional
January 27, 2024: Wanaque, NJ 07465 The Lakeland Regional Lancers basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the visiting Clifton Mustangs to 19 in the Lancers non-league victory on Saturday.
The Lancers now sport a 4-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wayne Valley for a Big North - Independence contest on Tuesday, January 30. Lakeland Regional will battle a Indians team coming off a 56-36 league win over Passaic Valley (Little Falls, NJ). The Indians record now stands at 5-10.
The Mustangs (2-16) will now prepare for their contest against Bergen Tech (Hackensack, NJ). The Knights come into the Big North - Liberty contest with a 4-13 record. In their last contest, Bergen Tech triumphed over Mary Help of Christians Academy (North Haledon, NJ), 37-29, in a non-league contest.
