The Lake Station Edison Fighting Eagles basketball team scored 44 points and held the host Hanover Central Wildcats to 41 in the Fighting Eagles non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Fighting Eagles now sport a 15-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Newton for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 30. Lake Station Edison will meet a Spartans team coming off a 36-31 league loss to North White (Monon, IN). The Spartans record now stands at 6-17.

The Wildcats (14-7) will now prepare for their contest against Hammond Bishop Noll (Hammond, IN). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 6-13 record. In their last contest, Hammond Bishop Noll nudged Griffith (Griffith, IN), 61-34, in a league contest.
