In Saturday's non-league outing, the Hughes Lions (Clifton, TN) basketball squad felled the visiting Mt. Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, TN), by a margin of 48-36.

The Lions (4-10) will now prepare for their outing against Perry County (Linden, TN). The Vikings go into the 1A District 11 outing with a 9-5 record. In their last outing, Perry County was beaten by Collinwood (Collinwood, TN), 46-44, in a league outing.
