The Blount Leopards (Eight Mile, AL) basketball edged the visiting Saraland Spartans (Saraland, AL), 45-39 in Monday's league bout.

The Leopards now possess a 10-11 record. They play next when they travel to Davidson for a non-league bout on Friday, January 31. Blount will play a Warriors team coming off a 60-55 non-league loss to Murphy (Mobile, AL). The Warriors record now stands at 16-10.
