Michigan High School Basketball - Grand Traverse Academy thwarts Central Lake
January 27, 2025: Central Lake, MI 49622 The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Grand Traverse Academy Mustangs (Traverse City, MI) and the host Central Lake Trojans (Central Lake, MI), observed Grand Traverse Academy's basketball team knock off Central Lake by a score of 54-45.
The Mustangs (5-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Cadillac Heritage Christian (Cadillac, MI). The Patriots come into the Freelance challenge with a 6-1 record. In their last challenge, Cadillac Heritage Christian was knocked off by Fellowship Baptist Academy (Carson City, MI), 52-41, in a non-league game.
With the loss, Central Lake falls to 3-10 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Johannesburg-Lewiston (Johannesburg, MI) to play the Cardinals in a Ski-Valley game on Monday, January 27. The Cardinals go into the game with a record of 0-12. Johannesburg-Lewiston lost 82-39 in their recent league game against Mancelona (Mancelona, MI)
