Maine High School Basketball - Stearns toppled by Lee Academy
January 27, 2025: Millinocket, ME 04462 Lee Academy Pandas (Lee, ME) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Stearns Minutemen (Millinocket, ME), 62-54 in a league match.
With the victory, Lee Academy upgrades its record to 8-7 on the year. The Pandas host Calais (Calais, ME) to face the Blue Devils in a non-league match on Wednesday, January 29. The Blue Devils enter the match with a record of 8-6. Calais lost 50-49 in their recent non-league match against Jonesport-Beals (Jonesport, ME)
The Minutemen now sport a 5-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Piscataquis for a non-league match on Thursday, January 30. Stearns will face a Pirates squad coming off a 57-32 non-league win over Searsport (Searsport, ME). The Pirates record now stands at 4-9.
