Alaska High School Basketball - Susitna Valley overwhelms Newhalen
January 27, 2025: Talkeetna, AK 99676 The Susitna Valley Rams basketball team scored 73 points and limited the visiting Newhalen Malamutes to 35 in the Rams non-league triumph on Monday.
The Rams now possess a 6-5 record. They play next when they travel to Metlakatla for a non-league game on Thursday, January 30. Susitna Valley will confront a Chiefs team coming off a 54-37 non-league win over Haines (Haines, AK). The Chiefs record now stands at 9-2.
With the loss, Newhalen falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Malamutes travel to Tri-Valley (Healy, AK) to confront the Warriors in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 28. The Warriors go into the game with a record of 9-4. Tri-Valley won 50-34 in their recent non-league game against Dillingham (Dillingham, AK)
