January 27, 2025: Maryville, IL 62062 The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Maryville Christian Lions (Maryville, IL) and the visiting Bunker Hill Minutemen (Bunker Hill, IL), observed Maryville Christian's basketball team knock off Bunker Hill by a score of 42-34.
The Lions (10-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Southwestern (Piasa, IL). The Piasa Birds come into the non-league challenge with a 8-15 record. In their last challenge, Southwestern dropped by Carlinville (Carlinville, IL), 59-27, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Minutemen encounter the Gibault Catholic Hawks (Waterloo, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 30. Bunker Hill will attempt to improve on its 2-18 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 11-11 record after their 51-36 non-league loss to Trico (Campbell Hill, IL).
