Delaware High School Basketball - McKean can't hold off Polytech
January 27, 2025: Woodside, DE 19980 Polytech Panthers (Woodside, DE) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting McKean Highlanders (Wilmington, DE), 2-0 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Polytech advances its record to 12-1 on the year. The Panthers host Caesar Rodney (Camden, DE) to face the Riders in a Henlopen - Northern match on Tuesday, January 28. The Riders enter the match with a record of 7-6. Caesar Rodney won 70-49 in their recent non-league match against MOT Charter (Middletown, DE)
The Highlanders now own a 2-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Christiana for a non-league match on Wednesday, January 29. McKean will face a Vikings squad coming off a 48-31 league loss to Appoquinimink (West Middletown, DE). The Vikings record now stands at 3-10.
