The Hodgson Vo-Tech Eagles basketball squad (Newark, DE), was nudged 43-39 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Polytech Panthers (Woodside, DE)

With the victory, Polytech advances its record to 1-0 on the year. The Panthers travel to Milford (Milford, DE) to meet the Buccaneers in a Henlopen - Northern battle on Tuesday, December 10. The Buccaneers enter the battle with a record of 1-0. Milford won 37-34 in their recent non-league battle against Delmar (Delmar, DE)

The Eagles now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to MOT Charter for a non-league battle on Monday, December 9.
