The South Brunswick Cougars basketball team (Southport, NC), dropped 73-59 in Tuesday's league challenge with the visiting West Bladen Knights (Bladenboro, NC)

The Knights (14-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Whiteville (Whiteville, NC). The Wolfpack come into the Southeastern 3A/4A/5A challenge with a 9-8 record. In their last challenge, Whiteville dropped by East Columbus (Lake Waccamaw, NC), 65-54, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Red Springs Red Devils (Red Springs, NC) in a Southeastern 3A/4A/5A challenge, on Friday, January 30. South Brunswick will attempt to improve on its 11-6 season record. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a 3-14 record after their 54-41 league loss to Fairmont (Fairmont, NC).
