Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Newfane Panthers (Newfane, NY) and the visiting Albion Purple Eagles (Albion, NY), saw Newfane's basketball squad overcome Albion by a tally of 61-50.

With the victory, Newfane improves its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Royalton-Hartland (Middleport, NY) to confront the Rams in a Section 6 Niagara - Orleans challenge on Tuesday, February 1. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 7-6. Royalton-Hartland won 63-57 in their recent non-league challenge against Starpoint (Lockport, NY)

Next up, the Purple Eagles confront the Medina Mustangs (Medina, NY) in a Section 6 Niagara - Orleans challenge, on Wednesday, February 2. Albion will attempt to improve on its 0-7 season record.
