Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish (Kankakee, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Aurora Central Catholic Chargers (Aurora, IL), 75-26 in a league bout.

With the victory, Bishop McNamara upgrades its record to 18-5 on the campaign. The Fightin' Irish travel to Manteno (Manteno, IL) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 29. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 12-11. Manteno won 43-35 in their recent non-league bout against Grant Park (Grant Park, IL)

Next up, the Chargers play the Ridgewood Rebels (Norridge, IL) in a Metro Suburban bout, on Tuesday, February 1. Aurora Central Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 4-20 season record. The Rebels come into the bout with a 2-17 record after their 63-47 league loss to St. Edward (Elgin, IL).
