Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Harper Longhorns (Harper, TX) and the host Center Point Pirates (Center Point, TX), saw Harper's basketball squad hold off Center Point by a tally of 68-63.

With the victory, Harper improves its record to 5-15 on the campaign. The Longhorns host Junction (Junction, TX) to confront the Eagles in a 2A Region IV District 29 challenge on Tuesday, February 1. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 6-14.

Next up, the Pirates confront the San Saba Armadillos (San Saba, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 29 challenge, on Tuesday, February 1. Center Point will attempt to improve on its 3-13 season record. The Armadillos come into the challenge with a 13-5 record after their 67-36 league win over Harper (Harper, TX).
