The Concord Yellowjackets basketball team scored 80 points and held the host Union City Chargers to 41 in the Yellowjackets league triumph on Friday.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Reading for a Big 8 contest on Wednesday, February 2. Concord will battle a Rangers team coming off a 45-33 league loss to Jonesville (Jonesville, MI). The Rangers record now stands at 8-3.

The Chargers (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Springport (Springport, MI). The Spartans enter the Big 8 contest with a 0-10 record. In their last contest, Springport was routed by Bronson (Bronson, MI), 58-40, in a league contest.
