The Ferris Yellowjackets basketball team scored 67 points and held the host Venus Bulldogs to 41 in the Yellowjackets league triumph on Friday.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 16-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Life Waxahachie for a 4A Region II District 11 contest on Tuesday, February 1. Ferris will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 64-48 league win over Midlothian Heritage (Midlothian, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 24-5.

The Bulldogs (8-21) will now prepare for their contest against Alvarado (Alvarado, TX). The Indians enter the 4A Region II District 11 contest with a 18-13 record. In their last contest, Alvarado triumphed over Godley (Godley, TX), 50-48, in a league contest.
