Jefferson Bears (Monroe, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Milan Big Reds (Milan, MI), 69-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Jefferson upgrades its record to 6-4 on the season. The Bears host Huron (New Boston, MI) to play the Chiefs in a Huron bout on Tuesday, February 1. The Chiefs go into the bout with a record of 2-9. Huron lost 63-57 in their recent league bout against Grosse Ile (Grosse Ile, MI)

Next up, the Big Reds play the Airport Jets (Carleton, MI) in a Huron bout, on Tuesday, February 1. Milan will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Jets go into the bout with a 5-6 record after their 59-41 league loss to Flat Rock (Flat Rock, MI).
