Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Milford Bearcats (Milford, IL) and the visiting Schlarman Hilltoppers (Danville, IL), saw Milford's basketball squad wallop Schlarman by a tally of 89-42.

The Bearcats now possess a 19-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hoopeston for a Vermilion Valley battle on Monday, January 31. Milford will confront a Cornjerkers team coming off a 47-34 league loss to Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin (Bismarck, IL). The Cornjerkers record now stands at 8-15.

The Hilltoppers (3-14) will now prepare for their battle against Georgetown-Ridge Farm (Georgetown, IL). The Buffaloes come into the Vermilion Valley battle with a 11-13 record. In their last battle, Georgetown-Ridge Farm trounced Chrisman (Chrisman, IL), 71-38, in a league battle.
