Louisiana High School Basketball - Sicily Island can't hold off River Oaks
January 28, 2022: Sicily Island, LA 71368 The River Oaks Mustangs basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Sicily Island Tigers to 56 in the Mustangs league win on Friday.
With the win, River Oaks upgrades its record to 11-12 on the season. The Mustangs host Delta Charter (Ferriday, LA) to play the Storm in a 1A District 2 bout on Tuesday, February 1. The Storm go into the bout with a record of 9-15. Delta Charter lost 77-39 in their recent league bout against Delhi (Delhi, LA)
Next up, the Tigers play the Oak Grove Tigers (Oak Grove, LA) in a 1A District 2 bout, on Tuesday, February 1. Sicily Island will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 5-10 record after their 56-43 league loss to Tensas (St. Joseph, LA).
