Sicily Island Tigers (Sicily Island, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Delta Charter Storm (Ferriday, LA), 50-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Sicily Island upgrades its record to 4-11 on the season. The Tigers travel to Tensas (St. Joseph, LA) to play the Panthers in a 1A District 2 bout on Tuesday, February 8. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 16-9. Tensas lost 50-48 in their recent league bout against Delhi (Delhi, LA)

Next up, the Storm play the Tensas Panthers (St. Joseph, LA) in a 1A District 2 bout, on Thursday, February 10. Delta Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 9-17 season record.
